The "Whole" Biography

There was a man who knew of and understood many things and was very talented and able to do many things as well. He was a very good man who had a multitude of good qualities. In fact, there could not be found one bad quality in him which could be proven -though he was falsely accused of much- and he was considered by many to be a perfect man. Now this man was not yet personally known by many others but most had at least heard of him. There was a book produced by this man which gave a full and complete biography disclosing everything there is to know about his thoughts and ideas.

Over time, some reports would come out about this man, saying various things about his person and his mind.
These reports often carried a twisted view of the man for there was attention given to only certain things said of him in his disclosure of himself, and also an ignorance of other vital truths about him which were needed to bring his true nature into proper perspective. But it was stated by him in his disclosure report in various places and various ways that the only way to truly know him was to meet him in person and commune with him as you read through his biography. It was clearly not possible to know him by another mans words stating only parts of this biography. It was through communing with him that he would make it clear to you what he meant and how all of his words connected rightly with everything else he had said.

But some would not be honest nor did they take the time to get close to the author of this biography. And because the author was very popular, some would take advantage of his fame to get attention and produce a following for themselves, leading many away from being able to really know the author because they exploited, twisted, became partial, or added to the words of this great man. In most cases, they would discourage others from drawing close to the author and looking well into his words. They would strongly imply that they had the right view and they were the ones to help others to see what this great man was saying. As a result, this brought them their own following which resulted in gaining wealth or a provision for an easy life for themselves through others serving them. But it was also stated in the words of this great man that those who misrepresented the author’s words would have to pay a terrible price at the end of their lives because it was vital to the wellbeing of others that these words were portrayed properly and without falsehood.

The words above are a parable speaking against those who pervert God’s Word for their own profit. Whether it is for material gain or the gain of an easy life brought through many people serving you thinking they are following God, either way is a lie and deception on others lives. Yet, I must also say that even those who are misled by these spiritual perverts are likely not always innocent. Some are unknowing but others willingly ignore the call in God’s Word to personally draw near to Him, study His Words, and pay complete attention to the Full Counsel of God by rightly dividing His Words and not ignoring any of them or adding to them. As God has given us a complete revelation of His Son and the work He has accomplished then we must diligently look at all of His Words together as One for He is One revealed as a "Whole" in the Holy Scriptures. There is only One True God and many, many perversions of what He is like and what He has done. It is your own fault if you ignore His call to draw near to hear Him in a quiet place alone -void of the noise of mere men or the Devil telling you what God has said- and study His Word thoroughly as you commune with His Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

For those who may be called to lead others to the knowledge of Christ, this is a reminder from the Apostle Paul who worked to meet his needs when he could as he ministered the Truth and did not wish to leech off of other‘s lives:

“Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. “For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. “For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. “Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. “Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. “I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. “Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. “I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” (Acts 20:26-37)

For those who are ignoring God’s Word’s in their “Whole” form -in spite of all you let your mind think to keep you in the grip of lies- this is the terror which surely awaits you unless you repent:

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. (2Peter 2:1-3)
