Today is the Day!

That Your way may be known on earth,
Your salvation among all nations.
Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You. Ps 67:2-3

The Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ is of One God with One Plan and One Single Mind. There is only One Way and that is through the true Person of Jesus Christ who is One with the Father God and His Holy Spirit. Many take the words of Holy Scriptures and then produce and promote their own ideas and understanding of them so as to have a following of their own. This taking of God’s Words out of context and true historical meaning and then forming other gods and saviors with other doctrines is a strong work of deception throughout this earth today. Jesus said the time will come that many will say to Him:

‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Mt 7:22-23

Knowing God in His Spirit and Truth is not the same as knowing many of the words in the Bible and finding an attractive way to appeal to others through deceptions or perversions by falsely using those words. Knowing God means having an intimate relationship with Him via His Holy Spirit as revealed through the true balance of His Holy Words. Zeal does not always fall in line with Truth and knowledge is not always based on the Love of God.

Jesus said this as well:
“And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. “But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. “But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. John 5:37-40

Are you willing and desiring to go directly to Jesus Christ the only mediator between God and man? If you are relying on the words of mere men for the Truth you will not find it there. For Jesus says this also:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

You need no man to see who Christ really is and the Salvation He calls you to for Hebrews speaks of Jesus this way:

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. Heb 8:6
For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Heb 9:13-15

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 1Tim 2:5-6

God is certainly Sovereign over all the affairs of men as it says here:

It is God who directs the lives of his creatures;
everyone’s life is in his power. Job 12:10 -TEV

A man’s heart plans his way,

But the Lord directs his steps. Prov 16:9

“for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Acts 17:28

And if you are knowing a work inside your soul which is making you want to know the Truth and your Savior then here is a promise of God's supernatural help which applies to you right now:

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Heb 1:14

Respond to Him Today! For this is the Day of Salvation. Don't let your heart get more numb to the calling of God on your eternal soul. As the Apostle Paul said:

We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says:

“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” 2Cor 6:1

If the Grace and Mercy of God is speaking to you Today, turn to Him, cry out in prayer, know His Words, and be saved!

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2Cor 6:2

In His Time Only...

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.” The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?” Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. “But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. “And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.” Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.” John 11:1-16

I want to look especially at this passage:

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. “But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

These words of Christ reveal to us once again the Sovereignty of God in all things.
I believe we can take from this the knowledge and assurance that the timing of events --including our death-- are completely in the hands of the only Sovereign God. Jesus knew that although the hearts of those who hated Him would kill Him at any time that they saw an opportunity, they could not do so until the appointed time and way which God the Father had ordained. So it is with our lives. All events are planned and mapped out by our loving Father so as to work all things to His final good for His own Creation.

The disciples were wary at the prospect of Christ returning into the lion's den of the mad and falsely religious leaders of their day. They knew that the manifest intent of these jealous leaders was bent on killing Christ. And the disciples seemed to believe that they too were at risk of being killed. But just as Christ was aware that those with evil intent could not harm Him apart from God's plan, so Christ knew they could not harm His disciples whom He said should go with Him to Judea --the lion's den. God is in control and we must draw close to Him to be sure we can hear His still small voice in the Light of His countenance as He directs us in the way we should go, even if the way seems a bit risky from a natural point of view. He will direct us with His Eyes and lead us with His voice. And we must be careful not to wander into the darkness of missing His will, for stumbling in the night could happen to us before we know it.

Psalms 86:11
Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.

Isaiah 30:21
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.

Psalms 56:13
For You have delivered my soul from death.
Have You not kept my feet from falling,
That I may walk before God
In the light of the living?

Psalms 89:15
Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.

1John 5:5-10
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

And the one we've heard too much but believed so little:

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
