What is "Deception"?

The definition of “Deception” (n)

trick, ruse, sham, fraud, con, pretext
dishonesty, trickery, duplicity, deceptiveness, deceit, cheating
antonym: truthfulness

1. practice of misleading somebody: the practice of deliberately making somebody believe things that are not true
2. something intended to mislead somebody: an act, trick, or device intended to deceive or mislead somebody -Encarta ®

“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said,”

Notice how Satan will speak the words of God. He will repeat them and turn with the questioning of God‘s integrity through what God did say. We know questioning is good when it comes to mere fallible men. And we know every man from Adam is imperfect except for the last Adam, Christ Jesus, Who "became a life-giving Spirit" (1 Cor 15:45). But to question God Himself is of the highest of errors for God is Solely the Highest of Perfection and Infallibility and He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. It comes to this…If we fail to trust all of God’s Holy Words then we are potentially deceived in some way without a doubt. For deception first came to the human race when mankind chose to listen to the voice of Satan and accept the questioning of God’s character and integrity as an option.

I’ll share more on this understanding of “deception” as soon as possible on this post…
