To my wife, Jen...Happy 10th Anniversary!!!

Prov 31:10 “Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.”

I found one 10 years ago!

Prov 12:4 “A good wife is the crown of her husband,
but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.”

I am wearing my crown and she has never brought shame.

Prov 19:14 “Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the Lord.”

My inheritance from the Lord has been good. For I have a very prudent wife.

Prov 31:30
“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”

I have been taken by her charm and beauty but I am captured by her love and fear of God.

Happy 10th Anniversary!!!

Let's shoot for the 50th! May we continue to grow in God’s grace and knowledge together for another 40 years if the Lord tarries.

Only One is Perfect…

I been considering some things lately. As I look over some words and beliefs of some renown Christian leaders of sorts, I have been realizing just how flawed everyone of us really is, including ALL of those leaders. Or have I realized correctly? I do not know how to judge as well as I believe I should. I don’t know it all as some seem to think they do. As I see more and more people, whom I’ve respected, fall short of perfection in Christ, I’m coming to see better that Christ is the Only One who will pass this test of perfect theology, perfect Love, perfect Truth, and perfect Holiness. In saying this, I am certainly not saying that I know enough to discern all wrong in these people. But rather I believe God that no one but He, His Holy Spirit, and His Only True Son are Perfect. They make up the Only Perfect God.

Everyone whom you look at right now in your mind that you respect as being so close to God and the Truth, has and will fail somewhere some way in this at sometime. We do not place our hope and confidence in fallible men who can change over night. Christ Jesus is the Only One Who is "the same yesterday, today, and forever". It's becoming a more severious (a word I’ve produced combining severe+serious) concern of mine that I see some offer the impression to others that they have arrived so much so that they can easily judge others to the point of indicating they know how to judge as God does. They seem to have accepted a perverted understanding of the words “the spiritual man judges all things”. I can’t go into much detail about individuals here for I don’t think it's right, but I will say it is a shame on their characters. In this I thank God for I wish to never look so highly at anyone that they seem to be near the level of God. This is idolatry and God hates it. Because God does hate idolatry so much so that it is clearly expressed in His initial commandments, I personally believe God has designed mankind --through His Sovereignty-- that no human can come near His perfection this side of Heaven where we will then see Him as He is and want to worship and adore Him ALONE. And unless we desire to be infatuated and blinded by an idolatrous heart, we will always see failure and shortcomings in any Christian leader anywhere in some way or another sooner or later. And maybe we already have but are presently in denial from a wicked and idolatrous heart which would dare to place another man near the level of Christ.

Heb 7:24- 28
But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

I thank You Lord that You are the Only Perfect One Whom any of us can place our full trust and confidence in.

Ps 118:8
It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.

Job 4:17-19
‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can a man be more pure than his Maker?
If He puts no trust in His servants,
If He charges His angels with error,
How much more those who dwell in houses of clay,
Whose foundation is in the dust,
Who are crushed before a moth?

Job 15:15-16
If God puts no trust in His saints,
And the heavens are not pure in His sight,
How much less man, who is abominable and filthy,
Who drinks iniquity like water!

And we all need to consider this one. For there are those who are proud in their so-called knowledge of God and His doctrine, and there are those who lie about the truth of His doctrine. We should place no confidence in either, but trust in the LORD ALONE…

Ps 40:4
Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

And so the Truth is summed up here…

Ps 18:30
As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?

Working with my hands...

Its been a while since I've posted to this blog. I've been quite busy catching up on some work of which I am responsible for in our business. Much of this is hands on labor in the shop but we have also completed our new redesigned website at www.aplusredemption.com . We had some trouble being able to edit our old business site because our server is filtered but we have now overcome this problem. Feel free to visit our revised website for A+ Redemption.

The Lord has been working in my heart as I've had time to work with my hands. I look forward to getting back into blogging again here and sharing some thoughts from what I learn in God's Word. It is true that we are preparing for our busy season which is from March to July but I am hoping to continue some sort of work here as well.

God Bless!

"This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we commanded you before. As a result, people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others to meet your financial needs." (1Thes 4) NLT
